Meghan Markle POLL: Should Duchess of Sussex get her own chat show? VOTE HERE

MEGHAN MARKLE has ambitions to start her own chat show after starring in jaw-dropping interviews this year, a source has claimed. Should she start studio shopping? Vote in our poll. According to a source close to the 40-year-old Duchess, Meghan has her sights set on a huge TV role after appearing on the Ellen show in November. The source told Heat magazine: “Meghan was rejuvenated by the whole Ellen experience and came home excited about what a dream job it would be for her.

“The idea of picking whomever she wants to interview while having plenty of fun and also addressing the topics she cares about is really starting to appeal – especially as it will boost her popularity.

“She knows there’s no way her and Harry would have been permitted to sit down with Ellen if they were still serving Royals, and that’s just plain ridiculous in her view.” The hypothetical chat show reportedly has a working title of “Tea With Duchess Meghan”.

Jessica Rowe, host of Today Australia said: “She could hold her own on a talk show as long as she gets her guests to spill the tea.” Meghan’s interview on Ellen DeGeneres focussed on her life before royalty, and life after settling in LA with Prince Harry and her two kids, Archie and Lilibet.

The Duchess also took part in a prank skit, during which she was told to eat like a chipmunk, do squats, and drink from a baby milk bottle. Meghan’s father Thomas Markle Sr condemned her appearance on the chat show and claimed she humiliated the Royal Family.

He said: “The whole thing was kind of embarrassing. It was certainly embarrassing for the Royal Family. It’s embarrassing for her as well. I suspect it embarrassed everyone in the UK, too.

“She’s putting herself out there as a duchess, but I’ve never seen a duchess behave this way, doing stupid stunts.”Despite harsh criticism, Meghan has emerged as “the world’s most influential royal” who has far more of an impact online than the Queen, a new study claims.

A study of online traction by Design Bundles found that Meghan is the most influential royal in the world by far despite having left royal duties. The data shows that Meghan attracted 7.4 million Google searches on average each month over the past year.

She has also been used in 10.4 million Instagram hashtags and has had 11,200 articles written about her. A spokesperson for Design Bundles said: “Now, the Duchess of Sussex is likely the most talked-about and influential woman in the entire world, as well as in the Royal Family.

“Meghan, along with husband Prince Harry, has always rejected the royal tradition to bury one’s private opinions and present a united, idealised front to the world.

“Meghan’s bravery and boldness in speaking up about issues such as racism, parental leave and empowering women are unlike any other royal, and her voice is a powerful and enduring one.

“The Duchess of Sussex is deeply committed to alleviating world issues through her charity work, and despite no longer being a working royal, proves that her influence is positive and unchanging.” Could she dedicate her chat show to the issues she deeply cares about?
