Prince William ‘envies’ Prince Harry as Sussexes enjoy new life out of Royal Family

PRINCE WILLIAM “envies” Prince Harry for his “21st century quality, his emotional intelligence, and his easygoingness” claimed Filmmaker and broadcaster Bidisha. A new book has claimed that Prince Harry was “incensed” when his brother Prince William allegedly questioned his relationship with Meghan Markle. Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan by Christopher Andersen was published on November 30. In the book, he describes the conversation that he claims took place between the royal brothers.

Mr Andersen said: “Prince Harry was so incensed when his older brother, Prince William, questioned his fast-moving romance with Meghan Markle that he blurted out, ‘Who the hell do you think you are?’

“The alleged outburst in September 2017 happened when Harry indicated that he was about to propose to his American girlfriend, prompting William to ask, ‘Why rush things?’”

Harry has himself admitted that his relationship with his family has been tested ever since scrutiny on Meghan increased with her entry to the Royal Family, as well as their subsequent exit from the Firm.

The Sussexes now live in California, and appear to be enjoying a more independent lifestyle. In a documentary released by Channel 5 in July, broadcaster Bidisha claimed tat William “probably envies” Harry. Speaking on the programme titled ‘William & Harry: Princes at War’, Bidisha said: “I suspect William has a bit of sneaking, envy and admiration for his brother Harry.

“He probably envies Harry’s 21st century quality, his emotional intelligence, his easygoingness. “You see their YouTube channel has got their family life, they’re saying to people – ‘We’re a mum and a dad just like you. We go through the same emotional journeys that you do’.” Two months before the documentary was aired, Kate and William had launched their own Youtube channel.

Speaking about the Cambridges’ new project, Vanity Fair royal correspondent Katie Nicholl added: “I think what you’re seeing is the Cambridges and their team really, tactically, tapping into the millennial generation, which of course will be their subject when they’re future king and queen.”

Their YouTube debut post began with the couple sitting on a sofa. William joked with Kate while pointing to the camera and people behind it, saying: “Be careful what you say now because these guys are filming everything.” Kate replied: “I know”. The 25-second video then showed clips of the two of them on engagements, including Kate trying her hand at archery, William flying a helicopter, and the couple on their official visit to Bhutan.

Harry and Meghan have taken on their own projects over the last couple of years. The Sussexes attracted the attention of many last year when they announced a £112million deal with the streaming giant. The couple have so far announced just two Netflix shows since partnering with the streaming service.

Harry confirmed his first project for the venture back in March: a docu-series about the Invictus Games. A few months later, Meghan announced she would take on the role of executive producer alongside Elton John’s husband David Furnish to create a new animated series, Pearl.

As part of the Netflix deal, Harry and Meghan plan to make documentaries, docu-series, feature films, scripted shows as well as other children’s programming. Meghan’s animated series – titled “Pearl” – is already in the works. Archewell Productions, the company formed by Harry and Meghan, said in a statement that the programme will centre on the adventures of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by a variety of influential women from history.

The series will be produced by Meghan, and she said in a statement that she is “thrilled that Archewell Productions…will bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history”.

Upon the announcement of the Netflix deal last September, a source close to Meghan also said the Duchess wants the world to see the “real her”. They added: “Much of the docu-series will be about their philanthropy rather than what they get up to behind closed doors. “But it will still be a fascinating insight and Meghan hopes viewers will get to see the real her.”
