‘You are a disgrace to the royals’ Furious Britons react to Meghan and Harry in GB News interview

GB News asked members of the British public to reflect on the year that the Royal Family has endured in a series of public street interviews.

Several members of the public voiced their outrage at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, and the couple’s treatment of the rest of the Royal Family. The public interview segment, which took place close to Buckingham Palace, was aired on Alastair Stewart’s programme A Royal Year 2021.

Mr Stewart said: “It has certainly been a turbulent year for the Royal Family, but what was your most memorable moment?”One person told GB News’ Cameron Walker: “Meghan and Harry, ooph.

“It’s mainly bad. Just everything surrounding them, the bad press, the bad publicity, all of it. It is just poor.”Another person said: “I think they have disgraced the Royal Family and the further away they are the better.”

One person backed Meghan’s interventions this year, saying: “Meghan coming out and telling us what she went through in the family.

“Coming from a minority background myhelf, that kind of stayed with me.”Another person said: “There was no interaction.”Meghan would just speak and say things, and it showed clearly afterwards that there were a lot of inaccuracies in what she said.”

One person looked for the positives, pointing out: “The good things have been the births they have had in the family.

“That will keep the Queen happy I’m sure, with some more great-grandchildren around.”

The GB News vox pop comes as the Queen pointedly made no reference to Andrew, Harry or Meghan during her Christmas Day message last week.
